Although the crowd was down from last year, and no great prior planning, we pulled off the Trade Show and made it a success. Don’t believe anything was sold, but we had a lot of people stop by the booth, touch, feel and comment on the turnings and other works. There were 5 membership applications taken and Deb talked with a lady who showed a great interest in turning. She promised to show up at our next meeting in Hodgdon High.
Thanks to all those who participated, Mark, Glen, Fred, Jack Lilley, Dan, Dee, Matt, Deb and Phil. Got to give credit to Deb, even though she had a migraine for the last few days, bought in a delicious banana bread.
Glen brought in his lathe and Mark brought in the club lathe so we had 2 lathes operating. Tops were turned, one or two whistles, a bowl by Jack, and a creation by Matt. Phil brought in a gold nugget for the door prize.
Thanks to Glen for cleaning up the shavings early Sunday morning.
Pictures are below: Also a video of Dee’s lawn ornaments.
